Front–End Web Developer/Graphic Artist
Job Description:
Excellent and unique opportunity for experienced front-end web
developer/graphic artist. You will be working on eCommerce websites
implemented using MS SQL Server (2005 and 2000), ASP.NET 2.0
Framework, Adobe Dreamweaver, IIS, and Visual Source Safe 2005.
Position Duties:
You will be responsible for creating, updating and maintaining
data-driven web pages on the company’s various websites and
performing various graphic-design tasks, such as designing icons and
updating brochures.
The ideal candidate will have
experience working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability
to handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimal technical
direction. You must be ready and willing to hit the ground running
and have superb analytical and communication skills.
This is an in-house position, so only

Required Skills:

Proficient at graphic design and
layout with Adobe Creative Suite (CS1); e.g, Illustrator,
Photoshop, and InDesign.

2+ years of front-end web
development experience using Dreamweaver or similar.

Experience with ASP.NET platform
including development using Visual Studio 2003/2005 and Visual
Source Safe is a big plus.

SQL knowledge preferred.

Fast learner: must be able to pick

2) Technical Services Representative:
Seeking a full time experienced technical services person to join our team in support of:
Job Tasks:
Wood Flooring International’s Customer Service team for:
- Installation questions from our distribution, their retailers, their installers and the end users
- Product performance questions from our distribution, their retailers, their installers and the end users
- Maintenance questions from our distribution, their retailers, their installers and the end users
Wood Flooring International’s Complaint/Claim Department for:
- Review with the projects installers, our field staff, 3 rd party inspectors as to the cause of any flooring problems.
- Write up of the Technical Findings Response to complaints.
- Maintain our web based Knowledge base of flooring issues and their resolve
Wood Flooring International’s Quality Control Department & Lab for:
- Review of inbound shipments and their Certificate of Acceptance
- Interface with our Lab as to flooring performance
- Interface with our retailers installers as to installation ease
Wood Flooring International’s Product Development Team for:
- Installation methods and issues
- Performance issues
Wood Flooring International’s Marketing/Web Team for:
- Technical writing for installation, warranty, maintenance instructions
- Technical writing for In box & web warnings
- Assist in getting photo’s of representative features in a given species and per grade/product
Job Qualifications:
Seeking an individual with experience in wood flooring installation, performance and maintenance who is has excellent writing skills.
3) Shop Staff:
Looking for an individual to work in our sample department preparing wood flooring displays. Experience with woodworking/shop work a plus. Must be team-oriented and self-motivated.
4) Sourcing Monitor & Compliance Liaison:
Looking for an individual with wood flooring experience who likes overseas travel to join WFI Inc.’s product development and sourcing team.
Individual must have understanding of sustainability issues, FSC certification, and LEEDS as it applies to forestry practices and wood flooring in particular. Tasks include monitoring our sources of supply and improving them from the standpoint of raw material sustainability, production process issues, environmental and waste stream issues, etc. as well as for base quality standards.
Individual shall also interface with the various NGO’s and certification schemes to ensure compliance as well as increase our knowledge of the current issues.
Individual shall also train our staff and distribution’s staff on these issues. Also shall create an outreach program with our WFRG for A & D support and training.
Individual shall also work closely with our product development team in growing our lines of products with special environmental attributes.
Outside (or Inside) Based Positions:
5) A & D Marketing:
Our Wood Floor Resource Group, (WFRG – a resource for the A & D community in wood flooring), startup is seeking experienced in wood flooring, individual(s) to support Wood Flooring International’s Distributors commercial departments as they approach the Design & Architectural community in specifying the correct wood flooring products for their project.
This individual will also seek out and cultivate relationships in the commercial and design community directly but still in support of our distribution.
The result will be to get our products specified in multi-unit housing, high-end housing, retail store chains, restaurants, corporate settings, etc. Ideal candidate(s) will have previous experience calling on the A & D community, experience in wood flooring, and an understanding of the environmental issues of product choices in building today and the LEEDS program.
Position(s) will require travel. WFRG coverage is national with a smaller exclusive base territory to be created for each position. We are seeking two or three individuals for a January 1, 2006 launch date. Excellent ground floor opportunity.
Outside Sales Rep Position - Illinois / Ohio Based
6) Outside Sales Rep:
To support our Northern Midwest Distribution, we seek an individual who is experienced in same to travel several days a week in training our Distributions sales staff and their Dealers sales staff, placing POP's, introducing new product lines, etc. as well as providing support to them with product & installation issues, etc. Position to be based in Illinois or Ohio.
